For those who have been following this saga (cough), I was a little worried about this morning's scheduled vet visit.

Well, Dr. D. called me last night to tell me he'd reviewed the spreadsheet I'd faxed him: "A breath of fresh air...." "I could get used to this...." "It's great you'll do this for your cat..." "I think we're looking at a remission kitty..."
And this morning we got done what I wanted to get done:
blood drawn for liver and kidney checks
urinalysis sample
weighed Junga (butterball has gained weight)
Prescription shampoo renewal
Prescription renewal on the syringes
checked Junga's front legs. Looks like his left front elbow, and maybe both elbows is/are hurting. By the time Dr. D. was done checking, Junga was really finished with the whole appointment, so we're going to try for x-rays tomorrow.
Dr. D. printed the Glargine protocol for me from the Veterinary Information Network (VIN). Interesting reading; far more reasonable than I would have imagined it'd be, based on the (odd) things people here say their vets tell them. I gave him one of the tight regulation protocol articles in exchange.
Whew. Now my 'only' worry is Junga and how he's doing with his other-than-diabetes health issues. Poor old little guy.
