Mush has been in remission since september. He was on prozinc. It is now january and
he seems to be one hungry cat. his drinking 7 peeing is normal. Is this unusal, is he
coming out of remission?

Do you have a glucometer at home? I'd suggest monitoring his blood glucose levels over the next few days (fasting levels at least 2 hours after a meal). If you can't test blood at home, I suggest getting hold of some urine test strips (e.g. Keto-diastix) and test for glucose in the urine; ketones, too, to be on the safe side.

Just as a suggestion - has the weather got much colder where you are? Sometimes colder weather can make a cat hungrier.

Goof seems to be ravenous too, he was in remission since last May, but recently developed a UTI and its pushed up his BG again. He actually sits in front of the fridge and meows incessantly, I feel so bad for him as he must be starving to do that. It makes me wonder if his food (Friskies turkey and giblets) has enough nutrition for him. I was giving him cooked chicken for awhile as it has no carbs, but it made no difference.

Are you home testing Mush? Even tho they're in remission, you should still test once or twice a week just to keep an eye on things.
