Velvet Elvis is gone

He died peacefully in my arms, watching chipmunks play outside the vet's window. He's buried with the rest of our family in a nice little spot in our yard. I miss him so much ... I know we did absolutely everything possible for him, but it wasn't enough.
He was the best black cat ever.
Our hearts are broken, but we'd rather that than never have known him at all. Everything we care about is on loan to us and can be reclaimed at any time.
Enjoy the moment, and love like there's no tomorrow.

You did everything possible for Elvis, and he knows he is loved eternally.

All I can say is....There are really no words..... :cry: there are tears, heartache, and so much pain. I know. We are sharing that pain with you tonight. I am sending you a gentle hug, an understanding nod, a little warmth in knowing we all know your pain.
What a lucky little boy Velvet Elvis is...what a sweet and honorable way to leave his body and join other kitties at the bridge..the rainbow bridge. His adventures there are just beginning, your pain is too. For giving him his freedom. My words are useless...only hope you know we care.

I'm so sorry. But what a wonderful gift you gave your fluffybaby, the knowledge that he was loved so much that he could be miss so much.
 
I am so sorry that you lost your sweet Elvis and my heart goes out to you...You are so right losing our beloved pets is heartbreadking ... but thinking of the wonderful time we had together... sadness is the price we pay.

Trading a sick and tired body for a free and healthy spirit, Velvet Elvis lives. May his journey be safe and he land softly. I just gave my little black kittyboy his freedom not too long ago. There is SUCH a void but his spirit lives in my heart.

Fly free little Elvis play and run like you did once before .I am so very sorry for your loss Rainey for your broken heart but he is young again .He will be with the rest of his family that went before him waiting for the time when you all will be together again.In the mean time he is watching with a happy heart sending love He will be with you forever he lives on in your heart Hugsssssssss Kath
