? Using Lantus pen with syringe question

So I am increasing my cat's dosage .5 units, and have been using the pen needles up to this point. I have bought a few syringes for the increase and have a few questions:

1. Will the pen's plunger keep moving forward as I manually get Lantus out with the syringe?

2. There is a small air bubble in my pen that has been there from earlier. Is it effecting the negative pressure/contaminating the pen?

3. When I give 3.5 units, should the plunger mark up with the TOP of the black line (closer to 4 units), or the BOTTOM of the black half mark (closer to three units?)

Thanks!

Not sure what you mean about the pen’s plunger, I only used cartridges. There is negative pressure so the stopper keeps moving as you withdraw insulin. Cartridges are like pen refills.

The bubble should be fine. Some people try to remove the air with a syringe, your choice.

I drew to the upper side of the half unit line.
