Using Genesis topical spray

Hello All,
I am back to ask questions.
My girls, civvie Ittle Sista and Sugar Bean have had skin issues which required a sulfur dip 4 times in a role, once a week. I dipped all 4 girls and the situation seemed to be doing better. They were dx with demodex gatoi......

Now, Bean and Sista both have additional areas that are balding and they are licking....another trip to the vet and this time he wants me to use Genesis topical spray as I will not do any steroid medication. I know the bottle says only for dogs but after calling the er, they assured me that it is alright to use on my girls.

But, after researching, it says: 'Use with caution in animals with diabetes mellitus or Cushing's disease (hyperadrenocorticism).'

Bean has only had 2 treatments of this, applying with a cotton ball......

I am here to ask, should I discontinue this, test her and while doing this, WHAT???????

I just have such a hard time only going on the vets advise..... He did not mention anything about using it on her and he knows I am head strong on steriod use or anything else that could cause her harm with her diabetes.

She has been in remission - 2 yrs this Julyish.......last test done 2 wks ago and she was 55.

ANY HELP HERE IS APPRECIATED!

Good to see you. I have some of this spray. the vet gave it to me for my diabetic cat Lilly(GA) for scratching herself bloody raw. That was a year and half ago. She could not do the steroid shots either because of being diabetic.
The vet never said anything about not using it on a diabetic cat. I used it on her up until I lost her I never noticed any problems with the spray other than the fact she did not like me putting it on her.

I feel much better now using this and I guess I wont spend my afternoon trying to find a new vet, but it would have been nice for HIM to tell me this in the first place. I have been sooo upset! But, of course, yall have made me feel much better!!!!!
I will test her a couple of times while we are using this med and just hope that all stays well.
