Using both U-100 and U-40 syringes

I have so many U-40 syringes (Ulticare, from the vet), I've been using them when Lucy's dose is to be exactly one unit. Is it ok to use those syringes rather than converting and using the U-100 syringes to give one unit? If I'm drawing to the correct dose with either device, the amount I'm shooting would be exactly the same, right? @-) I store each kind in a separate room, so I will NOT get mixed up. I have to leave the room to grab a U-40.

I'm trying to be thrifty, plus the U-40 syringes are so much easier to read and fill, the mechanism seems so much smoother, the plunger glides so much easier in the barrel. Is that because of the size of the barrel of the syringe, or the brand? I purchased Relion U-100 syringes, is there a brand that works smoother?

The only worry with using both kinds of syringes is the possibility of mixing them up. As long as you're positive you know which one you're using, it shouldn't matter. Most of us just stick with one because it's easier (honestly I find the ones I buy cheaper than what the vet charged me, and since Cass is on such a low dose, they're easier to use.)
