Hello all, my kitty Ember has been in remission for almost a year and a half now. But she has gotten 2 UTI’s since. Is there any supplement that I can give her that is safe for her sugars that might help with urinary health? Thank you!

I had a similar problem with Babu and one of my cyvies what I've been doing is give D-mannose every other day (that would be 2- 3 times a week) , 1/8 tsp dissolved in 2ml of water that I syringe him, some mix it with the food if Ember accepts it is ok , Babu is a bit special about food so I can't really add anything or he won't eat that's why I syringe it and that has help a lot it did not impacted Babu's sugar but I would still monitor him the first times you give it to him just to be sure

Here's a link with some information about D-mannose from Tanya's page (http://www.felinecrf.org/pyelonephritis_utis.htm#dmannose)

Adequan is great for arthritis (slowing the progression and pain) I recently was told it is helpful for urinary issues as well...worth checking into as there are no negative side effects.
