Urgent dosing advice needed

Hello,

I will be delayed with tobys insulin today. I have been gradually changing his dosing schedule to account for an appointment today, but due to circumstances outside my control I will be 3 hours late for his next dose. I am wondering if I should give him a decreased dose or skip the dose entirely. If I skip the dose entirely can I re-establish the regular dosing time. For example his regular dose should have been at 1pm but ideally I’d like to have his evening dose at 9pm. He did have a case of DKA once in early September. His spreadsheet is not up today but he has been relatively stable on 2 units of prozinc twice daily.

If I'm reading this right, you shot this morning at 1am so his next dose is due at 1pm?

In that case, I think you could skip the 1pm and shoot at 9pm if you want to change to a 9am/9pm schedule

His spreadsheet is not up today but he has been relatively stable on 2 units of prozinc twice daily.

Please get back into the habit of keeping your spreadsheet updated. You really never know when his pancreas could kick back into gear and we really rely on the data when giving advice. If he had a DKA a month ago, he's not "relatively stable".
