Updates on DoDo and Christina

Wow-- so I have not been back for awhile.

DoDo was left with the vet during my trip for work. After that things got very hectic. My travel schedule is pretty tight-- I was even supposed to be in Paris a couple weeks ago for work-- and that looks like it will now occur in February but I will be in the Northeast for a good chunk of January.

DoDo is doing well--- he had to have his feeding tube removed due to the healing and infection that would just not go away. The feeding tube site started to heal, but then last Sunday when I went to feed him I noticed a nasty welp-- he had a big abscess.

So on Monday of this week, DoDo was back with the vet getting the abscess cleaned, drained. My vet ended up putting a drain in him and the drain came out yesterday. He goes back on Monday just to make sure all is healing nicely. He is on antibiotics for another 2 weeks.

Other than that-- his appetite is strong and he has been feeling pretty great.

DoDo is still doing really good!

I removed his awesome kitty sweater (it was a hoody in a camo print that my mom had found at PetSmart to make sure he couldn't get to his healing draining tube area). It has healed nicely and we finished our last antiobiotic dose this morning.

My vet was kind and didn't charge me for a lot for the abscess draining-- she felt so bad that we have been in and out of that specialty hospital for two months. *lol*

I call DoDo my golden nugget-- we used to call him chicken nugget, but I think golden nugget is more a propos.
