I'm sorry, but updating all of this info via Google Docs is a pain in the ass, so I keep a running Excel file going and update when I can. But that means when I upload an update, there is a new url for it. Unfortunately.
New link.
I don't recall how much has changed since the last update, but I do know that tonight I input all of the Weruva information I had, and it's not pretty. The specialized pet food store that I occasionally go to really pushed the Weruva as being great for my FD cat. I looked at the labels and saw potato starch/tapioca starch, etc, as main ingredients, rejected the food as inappropriate. I emailed Weruva for the as-fed values and got a SS from them, as well as assurance that their as-fed carb values were very low. Not true when you do the math and subtract as-fed protein, fat, fiber, ash and moisture from 100%. The as-fed carb values I came up with were MUCH higher than they reported.
I've emailed Weruva about this, and hope to hear back, as their as-fed numbers were based on averages of various batches, and not just on the best results any one manufacturer got after testing many batches. At least Weruva averaged their results. Do we really know what we are feeding our kitties? Sheesh!
Suze
Anyway, I appreciate everyone who has helped getting these updated numbers! Please look in the far right "date of update" column to find out how recent this information is. Some of it was inherited and is old. Anything that was verified recently has a current 2012 date.
