Hi everyone,

Just a quick update the vet called me about an hour ago. They got her body temp up. They are worried about her glucose they are afraid she might crash later. I have to go get her at 4:30. If anyone hasn't read the previous topic
here is the link viewtopic.php?f=24&t=38384#p405763

I will keep you updated

David

Glad she is coming home. As I posted on Health, I hope they will give you ideas on how to care for her.

Looking at your spreadsheet, I have some suggestions if you would like some help with dosage.

Spice is insulin sensitive. So any suggestions would be helpful. Thanx. Also have to wait and see what vet says as well.

When you have time, give us her history and what you and your vet have been thinking as far as dosing.

My first thought is that you need some mid cycle numbers so you can see if the higher pre shots are bounces from low nadirs. Glad you are giving insulin twice daily now. Maybe if you can get us some numbers in the middle of the cycle, we can tell better what is going on.

Spice history. Diagonosed Dec 2008. Eating Dry food. Started with 3 units 2x day of PZI Vet. Oct 2009 Vet at the time increased her dosage to 5 units PZI VET 2x day still on dry food. Jan 2010 she went into hypo attack glucose was at 34. 1 week later she had another hypo attack glucose was 48. Started using this website after her attack. Switched her to the food she currently is on and decrease her insulin to 1 unit Pzi Vet 2x day and that was too much that is how we found out she is sensitive. Switched to Prozinc I believe last may. I have all of her spreadsheets i believe. She normally does her nadir around 6.5 to 7 sometimes she will be under 200 at +14 and aftyer eating.

Hope that is enough history.

So you must have numbers that aren't on your spreadsheet? Do you have a nadir for 3/4? She got nice ps numbers that day.

If you check out some of the other member's spreadsheets - I think Laura and Harley might be very similiar to yours - you can see that a number of people are shooting lower numbers. But it does take some data to figure out what is going on.

We would be glad to try to help.
