update on Scratchie

Scratchie'smom

No bg last night or this morning yet. Built the spreadsheet, let me know if it looks right. Not much info there.
 
Congratulations! Looks good to me. I would just add a note in the explanation column to the right -- when Scratchie had the 63 reading, noting that you were giving him 3 units that day -- so the more experienced members can see that he went low on 3 units, not one. As you gain confidence with the testing, it is important to start geting pre-shot readings as well as, at least, 1 mid-cycle reading so you can see how the dose is affecting Scratchie. The testing will get easier and easier for you, and I predict that within a week or two, you will be testing like crazy. LOL!! I know that's how it happened for me -- couldn't get a BG reading to save my life; then for about a week I was able to get maybe 1 a day, then all of a sudden I was getting 2 a day, then 4 a day or more.

Thanks Melanie. I updated. Until I get another BG do you think I'm ok giving him 1u?
 
You need advice from the more experienced members to advise on dose. Scratchie had a +4 reading of 259 so the number could go lower and you want to be cautious about shooting under 200 until you are more experienced. See if you can get a preshot reading this evening, post that and the experienced members can advise. You might want to change the subject of your post to something like "Need experienced advice on dose" or something similar.
