Update on Sassy and Melissa

Melissa had a good visit with the vet yesterday. She really likes this vet. They are running a thyroid test and a chem test to check Sassy kidneys. She will be getting the results tomorrow.

Sassy is still eating and doing better.

This was the last message I got from Melissa:
Results are in but doctor is by herself and has had no time to call me. Sassy is doing exceptionally well.
Eating normal, normal food too. No shots since Monday, levels have been normal or too low to shoot her.

The vet called last night, but Melissa missed the call. The vet said all Sassy's tests are normal!! Melissa is calling today to talk one on one with the vet.

Just talked to Melissa. She still hasn't been able to catch up with the vet BUT: Sassy's numbers have been so good, she hasn't insulin in a week. Her appetite is back to normal, and she is asking for food if they wait too long. AND...she is wanting to be more sociable with the other animals. An overall good report!

Newest update! Melissa finally got to talk to the vet. Sassy is NOT in kidney failure! Her elevated levels were due to dehydration at the ER. Sassy is doing well, eating normally, and fighting Melissa on testing, which is all normal for her! Yeah for Melissa and Sassy!
