Hi , I just wanted to share the news that Princess hasn't had any insulin since 12/12/15 and her bg hasn't been better(even with a shot). Her last shot was 0.25u of N. When I joined the group she previously had an abscessed tooth & her bg was high. The vet upped her dose & when she recovered from the infection a few weeks later she had a seizure. I want to thank this group for getting me through the hard times & all the advice that was given.
She was diagnosed in 2010,was extremely obese & put on RX Science diet dry food. For the past year she has only been getting wet FF, has lost half her size & her fur is beautiful. I was told "that ship has sailed" when asking about switching insulin & she would never go into remission, (which was never my expectation or goal). Because of all the help of this site I can now say I think we did it.
