Trouble is doing absolutely fantastic! He has had the feeding tube in now for almost 2 weeks and yesterday he started eating food on his own. " HUGE STEP ". Today we started his normal feeding pattern of 1/3 cup in morning, and 1/3 cup eve. At 6am he only ate tiny amount, so we gave him his tube feeding, and his injection. We got home at 5pm and prepared his syringes again, to feed at 6pm. We checked his Blood sugar, and was only 150 We put out the 1/3 cup of food again, and he ran to it, and DEVOURED IT . I want to tell all of the new members to ...PLEASE BE PATIENT WITH YOUR KITTIES/CATS. We were almost considering letting him go, because we thought he was suffering, and in pain. If not for this forum, and others like it, we might have made a horrible choice .
" You all said to wait, be patient , and let the doctors do their thing, and let our cat, and GOD, do theirs. YOU WERE RIGHT!
Today he is back to 90% of who he was before this all started 3 1/2 weeks ago. He will get tube out next week, and we are so happy, and also relieved, that we stuck it out, and got our baby boy back. THANK YOU ALL. This is one of the most stressful, and emotional life events we have had to deal with. I pray for all of your " babies", to get healthy , and live a long , and happy life. We will be watching this forum, and we will try to " pay it forward " whenever we can. Thanks again....John
