Update on my cat Boo

Just wanted to say thanks for all that info provided here. Was able to get Boo switched to wet food only, then with home testing she was on insulin only a few weeks before going into remission. She's still working on her weight but happy and like a new cat. Now she's playing and keeping me up all night meowing and play fetch again.

That’s good news.
Are you continuing to feed a low carb diet as Boo will always be a diet controlled diabetic cat.
I would test the BG each week for a while then each month to make sure she is OK.
Make sure her teeth don’t need attention as that is one of the most common reasons cats fall out of remission,

Both cats only get Purina DM wet, I know it's probably the same as fancy feast but she went into remission on it so they're going to stay on it. Plus it gives them crazy energy, so much so they've been keeping me up nights playing.

Thanks for the warning about the teeth, Boo had most of her teeth removed a few years back. I'm going to add a teeth check when I check her glucose. I keep a close eye on water intake and activity and plan to keep testing monthly.
