Finally got a hold of the vet

Apparently I forgot Jack had a thyroid test two months ago.

It was fine so its not that..

She doesnt think its acromedagly because he has a good appetite, plays with the other cats and doesnt withdrawl

His weight is exactly the same it was a year ago so shes happy about that

I guess our game plan is to do an Ac1..test, I think thats how it goes..That will tell us if he was just freaking about going to the vet or we need to change insulin

and we are working to reduce carbs

Thats one thing the vet and I agree to disagree about..She advocates some carbs because of the risk of hypoglycemia

blah blah whatever..but the other sounds like a game plan

yep its probably the dry thats keeping him high. Want to try a lower carb dry?

If you are testing enough you dont need to worry so much about him going hypo and it could even help him into remission (84% of cats with a low carb diet, home testing and a good insulin like PZI do manage to achieve it. With high carb dry its very unlikely though as it exacerbates the issue). Your SS is blank though so I cant see whats going on?

If you are testing, you might slowly shift to lower carb dry such as Evo Cat and Kitten, or Young Again 0 Carb (actually 5% calories from carbohydrate). Gradually, because sudden food changes may provoke diarrhea, nausea/lack of appetite, or vomiting.

Yah I sent dad a spreadsheet to fill out since he has no idea how to work a computer

was having computer problems once and he thought he could fix it under font lols. It takes crazy forever for mail to go from TN to MI

hes going to fill it out and pic text it back to me. Itll be updated then

I am hoping withing a few months to have my own apartment so I can have Jack back YAY I miss the dude

He only gets a few handfuls a day..We almost have him off but we have to give him a few with his wet or he wont eat it

and we are trying phobes sample. If he likes I will definetly buy..We have a huge cat Toby 23lbs needs it.. So his big butt had been getting it too

and we are testing as I have said in previous posts

just some days Jack gets a hair up his butt and doesnt allow us..He bites and scratches with his back legs
