On Sept 28 Badger's left eye was removed since it was blind due to glaucoma and there were freckles in the iris which indicates possible melanoma which can metastasize to other parts of the body. The biopsy of the removed eye showed iris melanoma with a low mitotic (cell division) count which is good. Last Friday x-rays did not show any cancer and microscopic examination aspirates from the lymph nodes did not show any cancer.

Only problem is the there were freckles in the iris of the right eye which indicates possible melanoma and only real course of action is to monitor the freckles.

Badger is doing good. His BG have finally stabilized. I have to remember that his left side is blind, especially when giving treats.

Badger looks great, Larry. Too bad they saw freckles on the right as well, but he couldn't be in better and more observant hands than yours moving forward. :bighug:I have to remember that our little ones are blind on the right when setting treats or toys really close to their face on that side too, but usually their noses seem to take over pretty quickly :p

Thanks for the update!
