So... at this point Aloysius seems like he may be thinking about going OTJ. (guarded happydance)
I changed how I was using the spreadsheet because he was sailing along for longer than 12 hours often, and I wanted to track how long each shot was lasting. It was really hard for me to use the standard spreadsheet when he just was not needing shots every 12 hours.
So I revised the format of the spreadsheet to track each shot, and its subsequent effect. (So each row on my spreadsheet represents one shot. If I give a shot before 24 hours is up, I grey out the rest of the row.)
ANYWAY... we are on day 5 of no insulin now. I decided to stick with ProZinc, test as frequently as I could, and came up with a sliding scale dose depending on what his preshot BG was.
Link to new spreadsheet is in my signature, hopefully the permissions are such that other people can see it.
Today he was at 78 and 68. His urine output and water consumption is way down, appetite is good, and he is frisky and perky and happy.
(I also just had another cat preliminarily diagnosed with lymphoma so I am really preoccupied with that situation. I hope to be able to contribute more here after that situation settles down.)
