Cody is such a sweet and affectionate boy. He loves snuggle sessions and rolls on his back to have his tummy gently brushed. He adores the new toy I bought for him and actually at times seems obsessed with it. He did very very well at a recent adoption fair although he wasn't crazy about the noisy environment. There were lots of people who thought he was so gorgeous but unfortunately once they were told of his diabetes, they were not prepared to handle that even though it is so easy with him. He wants his injections and understands they help him feel better. It will take someone who is willing to give just a little more of themselves but we will find someone for him. Anyone that adopts him will never regret it--he gives so much love in return. He is at his ideal weight and he has lots of energy. He maintains his coat extremely well and loves to be brushed. He is such a cuddler all he wants to do is spoon with you all night long! Cody and his brother were given up by their owners because of an allergic child. They were left in a basement room unattended, were fed a very poor diet, and the owners did not even realize that Dakota was diabetic! They were adopted together but after several weeks it became apparent that Cody was diabetic and the new owner was not prepared to take on Cody's health issues so he was returned. He is such a great cat and would do well with other gentle cats. Please help Cody find his forever home! Please contact his foster mom, Ronda, byt2Lu v@aol.com (remove space), if you can help!

Re: VA: Dakota spectacular declawed Maine Coon needs home

He sure is beautiful. Some day I will adopt again.. right now my household is full. I will pray for the right loving home to come along. :)

Yes Cody has been through a lot! Sunny, his brother, ended up being adopted by the first foster home but the foster did not want to take on a diabetic cat :YMSIGH: so Cody was moved. He needs a permanent place. There have been zero nibbles on him. That said, Joey the big orange tabby is more urgent at this point (see his posting). [Do they even have insulin for cats in Singapore? That does not sound like a viable option to me.] Please help spread the word for these cats. :!:

Re: VA: Dakota spectacular declawed Maine Coon needs home

Knowing what I know about Maine Coons, I'd take him in a heartbeat, if there was room at the inn. Alas, I don't have room in the inn...

Eeyore says, as he's snuggling in my lap and drooling and purring and making biscuits on me..."Maine Coons are fuzzy and warm, and goodhearted. You have room...don't you?"

LOL.

Best-
Michele

Re: VA: Dakota spectacular declawed Maine Coon needs home

I so hope someone takes him. My maine coon is responding so well to treatment - should be off the juice within the 6 months. I suspect they are easy to regulate (if I can do it anyone can). The rewards far outweigh the inconvenience. There really are the best cats - gentle giants.

I know you will do you best for him. nailbite_smile

I REALLY wish I could take him. I have 5 cats, 4 with senior issues. I have enough on my platter. I just know someone out there will open their hearts to this beautiful furbie. :)
