So i posted about my cats lack of appetite yesterday. People recommended I take him to the vet and test for ketones.
Today he went to the vet and they did a full blood work up ( wont get the results until tomorrow )
- checked for ketones (she said he has "trace ketones"?)
- His glucose was a 301 (he was very stressed)
- He has a double ear infection (treated him right away for that )
- Also they gave him a bag of fluids because he was a little dehydrated.
My questions are ::
Is it possible for the ear infection to be causing higher glucose readings and also responsible for his lack of appetite?
Also what exactly does trace ketones mean ?
