Unit conversion of Prozinc using a U100 syringe

I have been off this board for the past year as my cat's levels were normal with controlled feedings of canned food only and his pancreatitis being under control. However, in the last month, I have noticed his symptoms back so I started monitoring and recording his BG levels again and giving him insulin to get his numbers back to normal range. I want to make sure I am correct on the readings and conversion on Prozinc using a U100 syringe. So, if I count down 5 half marks, is this 2 units? 5 half marks actually is just above the Big 5 Unit mark number but is this technically only 2 units? I am confused and trying to remember how to convert. I read the conversion page and I think this is correct but need someone to reaffirm this please. Thanks for the help!

One unit of U40 insulin (like ProZinc) is 2 1/2 unit markings in a U100 syringe. That is 5 1/2 units markings on a U100 syringe with 1/2 unit markings.

If you are shooting 2 units of ProZinc using a U100, draw to the 5 line.

U-40 DOSE = U-100 MARKING
0.2 unit 0.5
0.4 unit 1.0
0.6 unit 1.5
0.8 unit 2.0
1.0 unit 2.5
1.2 unit 3.0
1.4 unit 3.5
1.6 unit 4.0
1.8 unit 4.5
2.0 units 5.0

U-100 insulin has 100 units per mL.
U-40 insulin only has 40 units per mL.

Thus, if you draw up a U-40 insulin in a U-100 syringe, you're only getting 40% of what the marking indicates. That's how the table above was created - each U-100 half unit mark only measures 0.2 units of a U-40 insulin (40%).
