Yey - two weeks now since Monty had a shot of insulin - and he's still measuring between 4.4 and 7.

6 weeks on caninsulin and diet change seemed to do the trick.

Long may it last!!

I am absolutely THRILLED for you! :-D

Fingers and paws crossed here that it lasts a long, long, long, long time!

This is fabulous news not only because it looks like Monty can be diet-controlled (which is fabulous in itself), but because I think this should give hope to all folks whose cats are prescribed Caninsulin!

wooooooo hooooooo!

thanks Elizabeth - and for being so incredibly helpful during our initial dark days.

just tested "The Boot" pre food and again he is at 5.1 so tonight we are breaking out the champers!!! We will keep a close eye on him and will keep testing regularly, particularly as the new Devon (cat heaven) cottage is almost ready to move into.

Thanks to all for the incredible help we have received and we will certainly keep up to date with you all and offer a helping paw if we can in any way.

Who would have known 6 weeks ago when we feared we may lose him that we would be here now. Almost certainly we would not have been without the help and support on this board.

:)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

Now - how do I upload a pic of the boy himself? I have tried previously but all the pics on my computer seem to be too big and copying and pasting don't work....

If the pic is too big, open it with a graphics program and save as a smaller version. Ex: in Windows, Paint can adjust the size of an image to what you want.

Give the edited file a new name so you can keep the high quality original untouched.

Then see if you can upload the smaller file.

Thanks! I think I@ve managed it - should be a picture of Mootle now on the right hand side. Handsome chap.
