Local stories (UK) are growing of new Felix flavours Doubly Delicious and As Good As It Looks causing stomach upset in cats.

Moschie who was at the vet's twice for mysterious tummy trouble (see my previous post on sick civvie) and now Louis getting barfy and inappetant were both eating new Felix flavours.

They are low-carb and so might be commonly fed to UK sugar cats. But don't for now.

Thanks for that Steve.
We don't feed our cat Felix because the vegetable protein extract in it affects his BG.
However i have just had a look around various websites and your right something has changed.
I've read this.

There’s a huge Facebook group about Felix issues at the moment. Apparently there are 2 issues.

1. They have changed the recipe and the boxes with ‘no added colours’ are now causing issues.
2. The uk manufacturing plant couldn’t keep up their supply so they imported some from factories about the world. The recipes at these factories differ quite a bit to the uk ones.

If you check the bottom of your pouches there are batch codes. I checked mine tonight and they’ve come from Russia, which is one of the lot that people are having problems with.

There is also a thing on facebook, i don't do facebook but if you search for "Cats recently affected by Felix food on Facebook"
It seems that there is a lot of unhappy customers and ill cats regarding the Felix food.

My 3 civvies won't touch the new felix agail which judging by what's happening is just as well. Angel doesn't have it any more anyway as he needs a kidney support diet. I have some of the old style left and am transitioning them to other low carb foods. I wish they would like the ferringa as that's ok for Angel too. I just bought 18 cans so will persevere! xx
