Diane, I'm still up too :woot: Hope you are asleep by now . These boys of ours !!! You are doing great ! I had to go to a 14 carb early with Elmo so hopefully I can get to bed in next hour .

Nope ...still up :woot: We having ourselves the first official Tyler-Elmo PJ Party , the little farts :woot::woot: Going to give Elmo one more check ( + 6.5) then I'm calling it a night .This does get easier , knowing what carbs to give when. You are doing great at it .:bighug: I'll check back in 30 and hopefully we both can go to sleep !!!

Just tested Tyler @+6 86 , I'll probably test him @+7 and see where he is, get a good
nights sleep and will talk in the am :bighug:
 
Yes they did !!!! But unlike his NJ cousin, HRH Elmo decided a rocket trip to the moon was in order after the party :woot: :banghead: :eek: And was accomplished with minimal MC 14 aid .....oi yeh
 
Looks like you 2 had quite the party last night. Beautiful cycle for Tyler and good cycle for Elmo. Sorry you are both sleep deprived at this point. Tonight I suggest if Tyler's BG is down that low again, consider a little less insulin so you can get some sleep. Unfortunately Elmo isn't quite so predictable. SIGH!
 
Diane, you did fine last night. It would be better to get some wet high carb food instead of the dry for situations when you need to pump up BG as dry takes longer to get into the system but that matters a lot more when you have a kitty sitting on the edge of far too low numbers than if you are just trying to steer them and keep them in nice numbers which is what you did with Tyler last night.

or if pre shot was lower than it was last night this is what I'm referring to about what you suggested

I mean if pre-shot is down into the 130s again you could try 0.5u instead of 0.75u to keep him from going quite so low so you can get some sleep. Sometimes it comes down to self preservation and with Vetsulin, although Tyler is very stable and doesn't drop a lot, when he gets into the 70s/80s you do need to watch him a bit more just in case. With Lantus, it's gentler and not as likely to cause a sudden drop so a bit easier with most cats. Elmo tends to be an exception as he likes to dive to lower numbers. Poor Beth.

Well with that BG for a pre-shot and you needing some rest, I'd bump it back to 0.25u and see how that works. Sometimes your preservation has to take precedence and Tyler will be fine even if he does run a little higher tonight.

@MrWorfMen's Mom yes that sounds good to me, I'm really stressed today Ashley is having a really bad day and having a melt down. My mind is fried. Will go with the 0.25 I hope to talk to you later tonight my friend
 
Sorry to hear Ashley is having a bad day. I can only imagine the stress of dealing with that heartache and Tyler in lower numbers. Hopefully he let's you take a break tonight.

tested Tyler @+2 - 98 not to bad at all so far. Gave him a little Dr Elsey's
