Hi All,

So its been awhile since i've posted over here, 2.5 months since Leo was dx. He is doing wonderful btw, is finally well regulated and just recently earned 2 dose reductions.

So my question is, since Leo has been on insulin and even more so recently, he has been twitching. It happens in his shoulders where i inject him, his front legs and his face. It seems to be at its worst in the first few hours after his shots, then it kinda dies down but does not go away afterwards. My gut feeling says that this is related to insulin, but i wanted to ask just to make sure. I've tried doing some research on it, all i keep finding is that it can be a sign of mild hypoglycemia. Also he is taking methyl B12 for his neuropathy, otherwise he is on no other medications.

Please help, does anyone have any opinions? Any experience with it?

Bandit twitches a little--but he's done that for years. I have no idea why. It's not very pronounced or frequent though, just every so often his muscles twitch a little. I don't know if he did it before the diabetes because I didn't start paying paranoid close attention to little things like that until after his diagnosis. It did seem like he twitched a bit more after his shots, but he's been off insulin a while and he still does it pretty frequently.

If Leo's not twitching badly, and it's not constant, I don't think I'd worry about it. If he's twitching constantly all day long, well, I think that would be another story.
