So Turtle has been on .25 BID now for 8 days. I've been able to get a lot of readings on her since I'm been home over Thanksgiving break, and yesterday 11/27 was a full curve with readings every 2 hours.

She's been in the yellow most of the time since she's been on .25u. The blue stretches are possibly due to giving her closer to .5 units instead of .25, as I'm using the u100 syringes and it's not so easy to dose exactly. Only once was she too low to shoot (11/25), and her BGs rose pretty quickly on their own without her dose, so I think it was wearing off at that point. The full curve yesterday yielded one blue number and all the rest yellow.

Testing for ketones daily; they look good. Her diet has been very regular: 1.5 oz Fancy Feast Classics 4 times a day (working out to 2 cans/day). Once at each shot time (7:00am and 7:00pm), once at noon and once at midnight. She always eats all her food right away.

Any thoughts on where to go at this point?
Thanks!

I think .5 would be okay if you will be able to get a mid cycle test. If not, you could try somewhere more than .25 but less than .50. This might help: http://felinediabetes.com/FDMB/viewtopi ... 24#p360982 Besides those first few days of terror, this is the toughest part of the dance - enough to push toward remission but not too much to push into a too low nadir. That's the bad news. The good news is that you are getting great numbers on a tiny bit of insulin.

Thanks! Great pictures there. Very helpful...I have been searching for pictures like that to make sure I'm measuring right!
