I am throwing this out there because I am a bit confused!
My sugar Bean has been in remission for over a year and has been in great health for the whole time. She became sick last Wednesday a.m. She would not eat a bit of food before I went to work. I thought this was very strange as she was just fine Tuesday evening - planying and all.....to just nothing that next morning. I came home Wednesday to bile spots all over the house. I made her an appointment for Friday (was as soon as I could get her in). By Friday, she seemed a bit better; eating some tuna, a bit of fancy feast.....not much, but no more vomit and eating small amounts. We went to a new vet as my is out of town and the sub-vet could not see her til Saturday.
Bean has not had much need to do the vetty visit since her remission. Only going for dental 2 months ago. Senior blood work was great.
The vet did the feel, check and temp check on her and could not figure anything out. Sent us home with some cerenia (sp) for upset tummy. Because she was eatting better, I never gave it to her. She hung out in my bedroom 90% of the time. She did come out to eat a bit from her own bowl serveral times. I am thinking all is getting better.
Saturday, when I got up, the 6 month old is acting sick, not moving, not wanting to eat, but no vomit.... Now, being Monday, Gizzie Mo is acting better: pumpkin and forti flora given to both girls Saturday and Sunday.
Last nite, Bean got upset w/ one of her sisters, and threw up all of her food :-(
Then proceded to dry heave for a couple of hours later....
This a.m., she would not eat anything, she drank a bit of water and it came right back up.
I am soo worried about her: her bg on Friday a.m. was 179 and 200 at appt. time, approximately 9 hrs later. I dont know how much of that was food influenced as she has wet down to eat at her leisure.
I guess I just want to know if the girls can be passing around a virus?
Should I be worried that the illness is making her number rise?? or are her higher numbers making her sick????
She is usually around 51-60 bg.
I am going to the vet again today but wanted some imput if possible before we go.
Thanks!
Worried bean of 4~
