Okay the biggest concern about switching all four cats (one being pre-diabetic) over to an all wet food diet is one of our females (the tubbiest one) has had access to wet and raw and has chosen to never once even take a lick of it in her 11 years! Anyone have experience or advice on cats who refuse wet food being switched over?

Here is some information by Dr. Lisa Pierson DVM of www.catinfo.org:
http://www.felinediabetes.com/FDMB/threads/transitioning-your-cat-from-dry-to-wet-food.956/

There are a couple of lower carb dry food brands out there:
Young Again Zero Mature - but some kitties have gastric upset with vomiting and diarrhea
Dr. Elsley's Clean Protein
Epigen 90

They are all pretty expensive and it looks like you would have to order online.

A good read about dry food:
Dry Food - PLEASE consider more than just carbohydrate content

Hope this helps

You may have to try different types of wet food. Sometimes, topping the food with come crumbled up PureBites freeze dried chicken or Dr Elsey's Clean Protein Chicken kibble helps with the conversion.
