Day 9 with no insulin, but who's counting?! Yesterday Jake's BGs were A.M. = 52 and P.M. = 93. No three-hour check yesterday. This morning BG was 107 so I did a 3-hour check after feeding - BG = 46. Pancreas is working, all appears to be well!

Judy this is such great news. Do you have any pics of Jake that you can post on here? It seems like more than just two months ago when he has DKA and the vet didn't think he was going to make it. Look where the two of you are now. :razz:
 
Paige - I just found a picture of Jake on my computer, Do you know where I can find the instructions on how to upload it to the site?

Congratulations on DAY 9!

Try this for the photo:

  • 〮Photo must be less than 20 K
    〮Click "upload attachment" tab under the text body window (below the Preview and Submit buttons)
    〮Choose your file and then click Add the File button
    〮After adding the file a new box appears above the Preview and Submit buttons with a button to place the photo inline, otherwise it will show at the end of the post
