We'll be traveling approximately 7 hours by car on Thursday. How can we keep the insulin cold enough without a chance of freezing it? We have a cooler. I'm just wondering what's worked with regards to packing it. Thanks!!

Get a small freezer ice pack thing and freeze the sucker solid. Then, wrap The freezer pack once in a cloth, then put the insulin next to it, then finish wrapping everything up in the cloth together. Put that in the cooler and you should be good.

For future reference, checkout the store at www.dlife.com and get yourself a POUCHO. They activate with just water and keep insulin cool for up to 45 hours. Got me to australia and back with my insulin staying cool the entire time.

What I have found effective and easy -- I put the insulin in a ziplock baggie to keep it dry -- then i put chilled water in a travel mug (insulated ~ coffee) and put the insulin baggie in it.

For longer trips, I add some ice cubes to the water during the journey
