8:30 am cst tomorrow is the day finally that Miss Autumn goes in for her dental...fingers crossed that it will help her go OTJ as well.

When I made her appointment I had planned to stay with her, but since then things have gotten complicated and I'm not going to be able to be with her. First off, DH is out of town for work, but hopefully coming home either tonight or tomorrow by noon...and we have a massive winter storm schedule to start hitting us tomorrow at noon with freezing rain then switching over by early evening to blizzard and whiteout conditions. It is suppose to dump 12-18 inches on us along with 30-40 mph winds...just lovely after the 50s and 60s this last weekend.

I have promised Autumn that I will be back to get her as soon as she wakes up from her little nap at the Vetty Bean's but now I'm worrying that I may not be able to keep that promise to her depending on when the storm actually hits us, since I have a pretty good drive to get back to her, and with the winds and the fact that I drive a high profile vehicle. However, her vet said that if the worst happens and I can't get to her, she will take Autumn home with her overnight, so I'm thinking of taking a couple cans of her favorite food just to make sure that Autumn will eat for her if she has to come home with the vet, as well as her insulin in a couple predrawn syringes, and of course as always a t-shirt of mine from home. I just really don't want Autumn to think that first daddy left and didn't come home to sleep and now mom is packing her off and leaving her somewhere too.

That is too bad about the weather. First you have to be save. She will be ok. You might want to bring two days worth of food an insulin - just in case. Better to not need it than to not have it. That is really nice of the vet to agree to take her home she she isn't in a cage alone overnight.

Paws crossed that all goes well and that the storm waits for you to come get her.

We're supposed to get snow tomorrow too. I don't think it's as much as what your area will get though. Sending Autumn good dental vibes. What time will they actually do her dental? Hopefully the snow will hold off long enough for you to pick her up and get home safely. Eat good noms tonight Autumn!

Well I have to have her there by 8:30 am, and she is suppose to be first up, so if all goes well then she should be in being worked on no later than 9-9:30 am They are going to do her xrays first to see what is going on with her back, and to locate any roots or more BBs that will need to come out, then off to get all those nasty teefies out and the rest polished up pretty. At least at this point we know for sure she will be losing 6 teeth and probably more, good thing she likes her Friskies served as soup. :-D

Of course Maxwell was suppose to be first up on his as well and ended up not getting in until noon because a dog was hit by a car and came in as an emergency surgery case. So just have to wait and see when they get her in but hoping it will be quickly and she will be back home curled up on her little bed by the heater vent in the bedroom before the weather hits hard. Just hate not knowing when exactly the storm is going to hit and how bad it is going to get how quickly but then again I don't think the weathermen know for sure either, they keep upping the totals on the snow. Right now they have moved us from a winterstorm watch to a winterstorm warning, and predicting 12-18 inches by Thursday night, with up to a 1/2 inch of freezing rain first.

If it didn't take so long to get her in for a dental I would be tempted to postpone, but she needs it so bad that I just can't delay it any longer, so will just cross everything and pray I get her there and home before the weather shuts down on us.

I'll certainly keep all my fingers and toes crossed that you get her home before the worst of it starts.

Looks like the winter storm warning starts at 6pm tomorrow and goes to 6pm on Thursday, with snow starting at around noon. (ac cording to the National Weather Service and the Weather Underground for Hastings).

Yeah they have been changing the forecast about every hour lately...really wish we all could be that bad at our jobs and just guess as a weatherman and still keep it...lol.

But at least some good news, common sense with Jon's boss prevailed and Jon just walked in the door at 9:30pm tonight so at least Autumn has her daddy back and I will not being worrying about both of them tomorrow. Really was not liking Jon possibly being on the road trying to out race the storm and having Autumn in surgery at the same time...so at least one worry off my shoulders tonight. Now to just get my baby girl there, her teefies fixed and home so we can all cuddle and watch the snow fly.
