Toby's Numbers not much different

Got Toby on 4 units now and numbers don't look much different than the 2.5 units or 3 units. Think I will see my vet. about changing the insulin . I hope I can get something to bring his numbers down. The PZI doesn't seem like it's working anymore.

Sue, will do that tonight. what do you think about the PZI not working? Or do you think I haven't found the right dose? Peg and Toby
 
Toby may be a gulper when it comes to insulin.

Did they run a test for hyperthyroidism? It is separate from a regular CBC and chemistry.

And it might be worth reading over the info on acromegaly and insulin auto-antibodies here.
 
went to 4.5 units last night Toby was at 287 this morning. Gave 4.5 again this morning will monitor to see how it plays out. Hope this could be the right dose. Peg and Toby
 
Took Toby,s bg at +4 and it's 347. He has been out to eat 3 or 4 times this morning. I gave him the ff whitefish and Tuna which is supposed to be lower carb. Don't know why we get such high numbers. He free feeds on this throughout the day. He eats more where he hasn't been regulated. Do you think this has anything to do with his numbers? I know food raises the bg and I know if he's not regulated he needs more food so what do you do? Go to see the vet. on Tues. Peg and Toby
