Dear Vicky - I hope you see this! I wasn't able to send you a PM for some reason.

I didn't know that you had lost Gandalf until I saw your post to Steve and Jock. I'm so very sorry! I'm hardly ever on the board anymore (don't feel comfortable). How are you doing?

Are you on facebook? I keep in touch with a number of my FDMB friends there.

Thank you very much, Cindy. Yes, he passed last fall from intestinal cancer of some sort. I never investigated further because I had known he was declining, his Levemir needs had been dropping throughout last year, an ominous sign. I did not feel it was fair to him to put him through tests, etc. He was almost 18 1/2.

I will see if I can PM you my Facebook pseudonym. Hmm, I'm not sure why you couldn't send a PM. I get them OK from others, got one just yesterday in fact.

It's OK you weren't aware. I can understand not frequently the board. Thanks for asking.
 
Thank you so much, Cheri. I really appreciate how both of you helped me with split dosing. I had to do TID for Gandalf in his last weeks because of prednisolone and I knew I could do that safely because of the Levemir Pioneers, including Steve and Jock of course!
