After giving him many doses of the propectalin I've noticed that his diarrhea is ever so slowly changing from a pure liquid to more like pudding. That's a good thing, hopefully that'll continue to improve. His appetite is good, he ate all of his dinner last night and ate his breakfast this morning. He's getting a lot of rest, so I try not to disturb him until I have to. I gave him about 100 mls sub-q fluids last night, just to be on the safe side. His gums are nice and wet so I'll keep an eye on that and decide later this evening whether to give him some more or hold off. He does look like he's been through a wringer though, poor little guy. It's hard to keep him clean, last night I finally put him into the sink and using the sink hose I tried to rinse his hind end off. He really didn't like that and fought me. But, his bum got a bit cleaner.
I was so stressed this morning, had to go to court about seeing if they'd allow me to keep my husband's pickup truck. Having never been through this type of situation before, my mind was playing havoc on me. I got all the pets taken care of, then promptly got sick myself. Instead of eating anything I just opted for a carnation instant breakfast with milk. Not sure if that was a good thing or not, spend the rest of the morning in and out of the bathroom. I can definitely feel for TK's issues! In the end though, all I had to do was sign a bunch of papers and pay the court $8 for their labor. I now have a paper that I'll need to take to DMV in order to change the truck's title over into my name.
Oh, and I found some papers that hubby had squirreled away, concerning the little time he spent in the Navy. Found out that one of them is his actual discharge papers, so I took those to the funeral home. They, in turn, made copies of what they needed, and will be sending off an order to VA for them to place a headstone upon hubby's grave! His mom will be SO happy when they do that........she's already been asking me to price them because she didn't want to wait. I've told her to let the VA do it, after all, he did serve time!
Anyway, please continue to keep TK in your thoughts and prayers.......Thank you so much! (((((Hugs)))))
