Timer automatic feeder

Just got the Catmate C20 auto feeder. Washed, battery in, a little food in one of the trays, and set for an hour hence. We plan to test at 6 pm, and will be in the kitchen when the feeder opens. This is Idjit's meal time and he will be waiting for food. Any tips or suggestions? We got this cause old man has been trying to stay up to feed again at midnight, mostly not successfully, and this old woman has been setting alarm for 3 am, for snack to help bring down AMBG. We are grabbing naps in the day like the nursing home gang.

saw your response regarding using pancreas booster and glucoensure. I looked them up and wonder if this might be an option to support Idjit's pancreas, instead of restarting insulin by drops to get more to the greens. I have been pondering while watching the BGs.
