Bit bummed out this morning, guys. Everything was going great for those few days but I'll let her SS do the explaining on this one. All I can say is that nothing has changed. Behavior, eating, drinking, bathroom habits all consistent and unchanged. All food is 4% carbs or less. No change there. She's slowly gaining weight back. Mood is friendly and playful. She seems bright, clear and inquisitive. We played with a fascinating piece of string at the end of my comforter yesterday. If it weren't for her numbers you'd think nothing was wrong with her.

Well, it is great to hear she is acting well and enjoying life. But I can see why you are bummed by the numbers. I don't know. There are two choices - reduce and see if the high and flat is too much insulin. Or raise and see if it improves. I see nothing in the daytime to bounce from; it is possible she drops at night....

I think I might be tempted to lower for a cycle, when you can monitor levels and ketones and see if the numbers look better. Maybe 1.8 just for a couple cycles and if no improvement, then up. My thinking is that high and flat doesn't fit with your previous numbers at all. It's possible that 2 worked for a while and you just need an increase, but I guess I'd try the lower first.

How old is the insulin?

I can drop her down to 1.8 this weekend so I can do a curve on her and keep an eye on it as you said. Ketones are always coming back negative for her.

The insulin is about 2 weeks old. I just got a brand new bottle. Got it from my vet and brought it home and immediately put it in the fridge so I know the integrity is good. It's cloudy and suspended in the vial.
