Just gave Tiki shot #2 today - this time it ALL went in! Woo Hoo....but he cringed as I did it, poor baby.

Saw an adorable Nursing commercial on TV today - it was a male nurse giving a child with cancer an injection and as he did it they both sang the Banana Fo Fanna song and she didn't even notice it hurt.

Wish I could do this with my cat - I do it as he's eating but he still feels it. I must not have a very good bedside manner - lol.

Any advice on needles? I just got what they gave me - which are the short needles - are these better than longer ones? Is there a narrower one that he might not notice so much?

the higher the number the thinner the needle - so a 31 is thinner than a 28gauge. you'll get better at it as you get practice. punkin cringed for the first month or so, now he takes it like a man. (hahahaha. i'm not really as sexist as that, if i were i'd say "takes it like a woman" because i think women are tough, but it fit.)

i use a shorter needle, but i think it's just a matter of your preference. tiki will get used to it.

you do want to only open one condo a day, just keep on editing your subject line to update. we also link the previous condo so a person giving advice can track down a cat's story.

ps - i think you should sing the banana fo fanna song to him when you give him his shot.

No, no - you didn't and keep telling me how to do it correctly so I learn. Plus I am part of the over 40 crown and therefore suffer from CRS (can't remember sh!t)...
