Hi, I am thinking the atenolol is giving her higher numbers we will see in next few days. I hit her with 3 units due to the high number. I also feel the atenolol is to high at 1/4 a bill for 8 lbs. she wouldn't move all day I will call vet and leave a message. what I am doing is just shaving a small amount off of the quarter. they base it on 1/4 for 10 lbs, so I shaved. Any feedback? also, I admin'd her 3 units even though he said 2. I can't see keeping at 2 when she is at these numbers. I will nadir her and monitor her closely. She is eating better today now that she is with momy. :cry: her pill is wearing off and she is acting much better. she played and purred and preened but all day nothing. Oh, my....
 
Hi Theresa, I don't know if the atenolol can cause higher BG numbers. Sorry, no feed back from me on the dose either.

I do think that sticking to your sliding scale for the insulin was a good call.

Glad to hear she is eating better now that she is home with he mommabean.

What pill was that, that "wore off"?
 
The atenenol. 1/4 is too strong. Sending vet a message that I'm shaving a lil off. She's much better today. Got up and waited by gate in am like usual. So 1/4 for 10 lbs a tiny less for 8
