? Thunderstorm and scared cat, go fast or wait?

Ok, was going to give JellyBean a glucose test in about an hour, then the insulin...except there's a storm coming in. He runs and hides when we have thunder and i probably can't find him (behind the king size bed headboard) much less try testing and giving a shot during the thunderstorm. It's already starting to thunder. so i'd have to go pretty fast (and i'm not any good at it yet!) before the main storm hits and he takes off running. should i try to do it later when things have calmed down? then he'll be behind schedule. which is the best?
