I don't think I like the sound of this. I have pretty limited information since DH picked her up. She didn't have any fever & they said they didn't hear anything in her lungs but kept her for a chest xray due to the breathing issue. He mentioned blood work but I don't know if they ended up doing any but I do know they did a EKG. She has some sort of infection in her lymph nodes? Heart was enlarged but that might be because of the infection? She is back of Zeniquin for 20 days but the card says to bring her back on the 21st. I will be calling them tomorrow for more details. Does anyone know what might be going on?

I have no idea what is going on, but hopefully the Zeniquin
will help.

Hopefully you will know more tomorrow.

Keeping you and Thumper in my thoughts & prayers.

Good grief PMPS is 419 maybe because of being at the vet all day? AMPS was 276 & I shot .8

I went with 1 Unit...hope that works!

Everybody's instincts have been spot on lately.

I'm glad you got her in and are starting treatment. I don't know anything about these issues but if you post over in health someone or one of the vet techs might be able to help.

My guess is that the 419 is some vet stress.

I almost forgot! I went to Wal Mart to get some syringes today & they gave me a hard time. They say I've got to have a prescription from now on. They actually made me wait while they called my vet to verify I had a diabetic cat! Maybe it's just that particular one, they said they have had people coming in to buy them that were "questionable".

Hmmm, never heard of that, hopefully the Zene will kick it's infection b*tt!

We had some Cali dissension here too as to scripts or not needed at WMrt - some seemed to and others not, though you'd think it would be a statewide law (or not). I always found online ordering easier (since my Wmrt was clueless anyhow on the 1/2 unit marking thing).

She did seems to act better when she was on the zenequin so hopefully it will go away. It just doesn't sound that great to me. Oh, the lymph nodes are so swollen it is pressing on her trachea & that is what's causing the problem breathing? Just sounds bad. :YMSIGH:

No worries. There's plenty of room for further drop and it's +4 already. I'd only be worried at a +4 under 100 more or less.

Sleep away! If you are at all worried, leave some food out for her, or give her a little LC snack before bed (if she wants it) if leaving food out doesn't work for you.

But I guess my 1u idea was a little ambitious maybe. Ok for this PS, but I guess I would stick with 0.9 under a 400 PS rather than whatever I said yesterday.

Heck, Joanna I don't even remember what you said yesterday! All I was thinking about this afternoon was that over 400 #. Hindsight is always 20/20 and I knew the # was probably high from the vet but all that didn't come together. She had a bit of a snack...well, it's still frozen but she was licking it. I always leave 2 frozen cans out at night & when I leave for work but I've got a feeling piggy Petey eats most of it! She's gone of to bed but maybe I'll go get her up & open a fresh can of food. If she does like she usually does I'm guessing she'll still be low for AMPS.

So sorry to hear that Thumper isn't feeling well. Sending healing thoughts and prayers your way.

I've no idea what it might be, but when I was a child I used to get very bad kidney infections frequently. My mother said one time it was so bad that all my lymph nodes were swollen everywhere. I even had bumps on my head apparently so maybe your cat just has a bad infection? Hope the zeniquin works wonders!
