Thumper - I just don't get it!

So after that green yesterday we are right back at pink PS's & yellow nadirs. I have no idea why she would have 1 good cycle on the same dose that she has been on. I increased to 1.5 tonight but Sat night when I increased to 1.6 it seemed like it might be too much insulin.

I looks like a typical Thumper pattern. She gets a good cycle followed by a high flat cycle from the bounce.

Hopefully she will come around sooner this time, she has to start getting used to those nicer numbers eventually.

I don't know whether this will make you feel better or not, but I read about a Lantus kitty who bounced for almost 2 years before finally settling in and eventually getting OTJ. Their spreadsheet is amazing! (PeterDevonMocha). You are not alone with a difficult kitty, Barbara. Not sure that will help, but hope it does. :?

Well, it doesn't make me feel better but it's good to know there are others out there. I keep toying with the idea to switch insulins but I don't like change and I can't be sure it's the insulin. I've just started my 3rd bottle on the 10th so hate to waste it if it's not the insulin. I'm off on the 15th & if the vet I like is in I think I'm going to take her in to have her teeth checked so I might ask about Lev. I hesitate there also though cause as you know I don't have a ton of confidence in my vet. It's funny, I recently came across someone who I think is a long time member & I believe she lives in Va. Beach which is about 45 mins from me. I was trying to get in touch with her to ask about her vet. It's an awful ride over there due to a bridge that is overused but I would be willing to go for a consult if it turns out she has a vet that is more knowledgeable with diabetes, or maybe they would know a vet in my city. Her name is Carolyn & Spot, anyone here know her?

It really just baffles me that she can have 1 cycle like that then go right back up without any changes. And in the past she has cruised along then all of a sudden shoots right back up.....but you already know all that. :YMSIGH:

Hang in there, It has been over a year and Shakes still bounces
sometimes it just takes a very long time
