Good to go but she vomited some brown liquid right when I was getting ready to test her the second time. I'm feeding since everyone is begging, but what should I do about insulin? She was also fussing for her food & is eating. I guess I will wait a little bit to make sure she doesn't vomit this up.

Yes, it's been about 15 mins. since she ate & no more vomiting but I'm only @ about +11.5 so I can wait a bit I guess?

How much did she throw up? Was it just liquid or food?

I really like the consistent Preshots! Looks like the .5 is holding her steady!

It was just brown liquid & just once. I hope this is not a sign of her not feeling good again! I'm just a little nervous about the low preshots...I know this is good but it's just scary to me!

I don't like talking to myself! It's been 45 mins since she ate so I guess I'm going ahead & shooting .5

I understand the scary, but I think she will be fine.

Remember -- cats spit up all the time, we are just more conscious about it now.

The numbers look good

I know, my Hyper T throws up all the time, but Thumper not so much. She had been begging for food so it surprised me a little. Probably my imagination but she didn't look so great when I left. Of course, she was mad cause I wouldn't let her get under the bed, that's where she likes to go after she's eaten & had her shot in the morning. Her mama leaves this morning, I hope that doesn't upset her, sometimes I've wondered if she gets depressed cause she's missing her? I guess I'm just a "helicopter" grandma!

Something must be in the air. Both Alex and Audrey were really hungry this morning. Usually, Audrey is interested in seeing that she gets fed, but this morning, she was chowing down beside her brother.

Hang in there, Barbara.

P.S. I'm still a little groggy from last night's allergy pill. Plus, I can seem to get myself and Alex ready in the morning before leaving for work and still have time to check the boards.

I know what you mean Ginny, most of the time I don't get on in the morning before work cause I run out of time. I'm a night owl & have never liked to get up in the morning but Thumper changed that for me! I have horrible allergies....allergic to just about everything...including CATS! Too bad I have 4 of them & would have more but I don't think Thumper & Callie would like it & since they are getting up there in age I don't want to upset them. I get weekly allergy shots but have recently taken the generic zyrtec when I have an "edisode". It doesn't make me sleepy, have you tried something like that? I've used Allegra with good results in the past also.

I guess this is a good thing to stay on this schedule for the long weekend....I get to sleep past 6:30!!!! Yipee! I will think I'm on vacation!

Well, Thumper's not giving me any trouble for the moment but her Hyper T sister Callie is gonna take over! I had noticed her not eating as much at meal times but I thought it might be because of all the activity here. Then I started thinking about how she had vomited quite a few times & it just hit me that she's lost weight....now I feel guilty cause I spend so much time worrying about Thumper. I had my daughter take her to the vet today cause it was time for bloodwork to check her thyroid & she's down a couple of pounds to 8.8...they said they could tell she's lost it quickly since her skin is so loose? Anyway, they got Jen all upset & said they wanted to check her liver & kidney function. I'm hoping she just needs her med increased, she was only getting 3/4 of a 5 mg pill each day. I don't need any more stress.....or vet bills....DH just lost his job. I'm gonna scream!

Barbara, yay for sleeping in. DH can do the poke and shot for me in the early morning when he isn't travelling. He's coming home tonight, so tomorrow it's definitely his job.

I hope Callie is OK and sorry to hear about the job loss. My DH has already been told that next June he job is ending also. I do contract work and things appear to be slowing down for me too.

Hang in there.

Oh Barbara, I am sorry the stress is adding up for you there. Hoping Callie’s problem is easy and economical too.
Why does it all come at once? Our work is dreadfully slow now too and everything else seems to happen then in addition.
It’s just life I guess. One day at a time is all we can do.
Sending ya hugs and good positive thoughts.
:YMHUG:

Thanks! And I guess one good thing about my current vet...which I guess I'm gonna have to stick with for now..is they give me a discount & will let me pay later if I need to. Still gotta pay it sometime though!

Sorry about Civvie. Hopefully it will be a quick and easy fix.

It does seem like--"when it rains it pours"

There does not appear to be any low test on the .5 and the preshots look good. I
would stick with it.

I bet she isn't going very low. I think your preshots would be higher-- from some bounce- if she was going real low.

It looks smooth to me!

Sorry your civie Callie isn't feeling well, I hope it isn't anything big.

I like the .5u she seems to be doing well with that. I'm looking forward to some mid cycle tests too to see what is going on during the cycle.

Yeah for a 3 day weekend!

So sorry to hear about your civvie Callie not feeling well. Sounds like you've had a lot of stress and definitely deserve some sleepin in over the holiday weekend. BTW, I'm allergic to cats too! LOL.

My mother's 2 cats both are hyper T and one of them had her dose decreased a few months ago and just this week my mom took her in because her appetitie was not that great and she thought she was loosing weight again and sure enough she needed her dose bumped back up again. They both get the compounded ear gel for hyperT.
I have HORRIBLE allergies, to all kinds of grasses, nut trees, other trees, ragweed, other weeds, and you guessed it, cats, but that is one of the things I am least allergic to.
Only thing I'm not allergic to are dust mites, dogs, pine and oak trees. I have been taking allergy shots since 2003. I used to have nasal polyps and could never breathe through my nose and had sinus headaches all the time. So much better now. I take Zyrtec and Flonase when the pollen is really bad and use a Neti pot to rinse my nose.
