Good thing I was planning on staying up for awhile and glad I shot .8 instead of 1 unit. She is sleeping a lot & so far no more vomiting. But I guess the injections might still be working for her.

I've been reading some info from my other thread about pancreatitis & some of the symptoms seem to fit Thumper but others don't. She hasn't had any weight loss, nothing showed up on the ultrasound & her appetite seems to have increased instead of decreased in recent weeks with the exception of the night we went to the ER & this morning. I do remember one night she got mad at me when I touched her belly & it would explain the rapid breathing & lethargy.

The pancreas is really hard to image, so even if it is inflamed they may not be able to see it. Often it takes a very too sonographer and a good board-certified radiologist to be able to view it at all. That isn't surprising. They couldn't find Tabriz's either when he had his done despite the fact they thought he had pancreatitis.

Weight loss may not show up if the cat hasn't had appetite loss for too long. With diabetic cats, appetite may also still be a little higher than civvies simply because of the extra sugar floating around. Shaikha isn't feeling great right now but she still is eager for food. The problem is that she's not eating it all, or picks at it. She acts like she really wants to eat, but isn't so much. Much of it depends on how much the pancreas is inflamed and what is happening inside. When pancreatitis occurs, there are enzymes spilling into the abdominal cavity that normally stay inside the GI tact. How much that happens and where all the stuff goes really determines the symptoms the cat has. A definite case of ECID.
