Sitting here at 12:30 EST, without much sleep last night and with a PMPS +4 of 221 - 100 pts in 2 hours? OK where are we headed and should I plan on staying up? I seriously think I'm too sleep deprived right now to make sense of this. He got a snack of a large spoonful of watered down FF shrimp/cod at +4 and is awake and alert right now.
4.5 U's at PMPS

PMPS 381
PMPS+2 323
PMPS +4 221
PMPS +5 221

He's holding it seems - typical NADAIR is at +7

To be honest the pancreas would have to kick in full speed & then some at this point for a hypo situtation. Even if he dropped 100 more points he is still in a safe zone.

I think it's safe for you to get some sleep. You gave him food recently. So take care of yourself so you can take care of him.

Goodnight I-)

thanks Jenn - I was thinking the same thing but I just don't trust myself sometimes! It's 1:30 am +6 and he's 209 so I'm crashing - NOT him LOL - he's currently playing with his catnip carrot (the toy of the month) - hopefully he'll let me sleep - he's started this thing where he follows me into the bedroom and instead of jumping on the bed (via the stepping stones we've provided) like he used to he stands in the middle of the room and cries really loudly for a bit - once I call him he makes his way up onto the bed but of course by than he's got the whole house awake... sigh...

He is a mess! funny guy. Can you start to train him to know the word "bed"? Maybe he already knows? When it's time for Baxter to go to bed...I go over to his bed snap my finger & point & say "bed". He will go to his bed.

Baxter does something similar in the morning after eating, he wants to go outside. He will cry so loud. I will go in there & tell..you stop that that crying. nailbite_smile He will just look at me like he wasn't even doing anything. Makes me nuts some mornings.

Get some sleep.
I'm getting ready to go to sleep. Baxter schedule is messed up because of his numbers tonight & my eventful weekend  . So I have to get up @ 5:30 to take care of him.

thanks Jenn for the input hope YOU got some sleep. Robbie generally sleeps with me on my knees/thighs for the first few hours than he moves to my feet and he'll stay there all night most of the time. He will even walk around crying and looking at me if I stay up past midnight (at least he used to now) cause he wants to go to BED. However in the past year since we got the dog a few years ago and they've become pals he will often sleep with the dog - than he makes his way into me some time during the night and I wake to find him at my feet - I think this crying thing is just cause he doesn't feel quite right - I don't know - it also has to do with the fact, I think, that he can't jump around as easily as he used to due to the arthritis - so if his "sister" is in her spot which is up high in the laundry area of the bedroom he gets annoyed and sits and cries - Anyway, who knows? Cats they are an enigma sometimes and red tiger boys are the worst! LOL
