Less than one week in and I've already saved my cats life by going against vet advice.
Tynan is on 1 unit twice a day of Lantus and I've been home testing. Not getting every reading as getting blood is still a learning curve!
Tonight I got a reading before giving shot and was shocked to see 5 as the reading, if I hadn't home tested I would have given shot and had a possible hypo.
Yesterday his reading was 24 so still wildly varying results here, making this journey seem so daunting!
Just venting...

Great job following up the green numbers last night. One thing I would suggest, especially seeing as you got that nice green last night and it seems like Tynan is working the juice (insulin) it might be a good idea to try and get at least one midcycle test (anytime between +1 and +11) in each cycle, it's very helpful when it comes to dosing to have a good idea of how well our kitties are working the juice.
