Hi, I'm the manager/director of a no-kill animal shelter called Heavenly Pet Sanctuary in Iowa. This is our first diagnosed diabetic cat and I'm trying to learn all that I can about doing this right for him. Bundy is a senior cat that we've had for 15 years; he's one of our favorites here, recently tested positive for FeLV and in Stage 2 CRF with some elevated liver enzymes, so he's got lots going on! However, he has plenty of life in him, eats pretty well and purrs a lot, so he's not a euthanasia candidate at this time, contrary to what our vet suggested.
