Its been a long time since I posted here.
Frankie my 17 year old, was set "free" this morning at 11:00 AM.
9 years ago, I heard those dreaded words "he has Diabetes'
Thousands of strips, 100's of doses, 100's of nights spent awake worrying, 100's of hours trying to balance his food intake and his dose, my baby is now with his brother.
A little over a year ago, he had an acute attack of Pancreatitis, which reared its head 2 more times. He suffered through IBD and Colitis as well.
To the end, he was sweet, loveable, and affectionate.
I miss both my boys Frankie and Chubby dearly.
To those newbies here, Diabetes is certainly manageable and Frankies life should give all of you who have heard those 3 words as I did 9 years ago, some sense of encouragment that your baby will be with you for many years to come.
