Its been a long time since I posted here.
Frankie my 17 year old, was set "free" this morning at 11:00 AM.

9 years ago, I heard those dreaded words "he has Diabetes'
Thousands of strips, 100's of doses, 100's of nights spent awake worrying, 100's of hours trying to balance his food intake and his dose, my baby is now with his brother.

A little over a year ago, he had an acute attack of Pancreatitis, which reared its head 2 more times. He suffered through IBD and Colitis as well.

To the end, he was sweet, loveable, and affectionate.

I miss both my boys Frankie and Chubby dearly.

To those newbies here, Diabetes is certainly manageable and Frankies life should give all of you who have heard those 3 words as I did 9 years ago, some sense of encouragment that your baby will be with you for many years to come.

FLY FREE FRANKIE

My heart aches for you. :YMHUG: You were so fortunate, to love and be loved for such a long time.

Thank you for the kind note to us newbies that have only months in, instead of years. It is so appreciated.

You're in my thoughts.

Fly free, sweet one. wings_cat

So sorry for your loss of Frankie. He was truly blessed to have you as his "purrfect parent!" :YMHUG:

So sorry to hear of your loss. I know the pain and the emptiness you are feeling.

Good bye Frankie. Fly free little one. You are an inspiration to those here just starting their journeys. Nine years was a wonderful long time to keep on chugging, even with the diabetes.

So sorry it was Frankie's time to go. So happy to learn that you had so many years past diagnosis together due to your tender care. Frankie was a lucky kitty to have you for a parent.
Wishing you comfort.

So sorry for your loss..it's always so hard losing our babies. The pain is almost unbearable. But just think at the wonderful life you gave him..what a lucky cat! He'll always be in your heart and I know he's taken you with him, in his heart, furever across the rainbow bridge.
