Dear LL,

Thank you so so much for your thoughts and prayers during Sara's illness and passing. It makes a world of difference when you can share with people that truly understand, and my grief was easier to bear.

It's hard to believe that's she's been gone a month already. I expect to see her in her recliner when I walk by. She loved that chair so. She had a cushy life, happy and content, her last three years with diabetes. I learned how to cope and manage her diabetes from the caring people here and it was hardly a bump in the road. I hate to think what would have happened if I had not found this site. You are all amazing. She had a wonderful life and lived a full 17 years. You can't ask for more than that.

Sara I will always remember your big blue crossed eyes, soft fur, big purrs, but most of all your sweetness.

Even though she is gone, I am sure she is right by you, but your grief makes it hard to see-

Copper went GA almost 3 1/2 mths ago, and my heart hurts so from the loss--Then I started receiving feathers in the most unusual ways--We also keep hearing noises like him jumping off the kitchen counter--Just keep listening & looking, she will show you she is still there-We have received 9 feathers from Copper , one was found in the refrigerator, one in the towel closet!
I Understand your pain, and hope you will find peace--You were so lucky to have 17 yrs with her, & she w/you.Sending Hugs & Luv from us!

I think because I shut down my grieving with Maverick (thinking I just grieved really well but I was fooling myself) that my heart was closed to signs.
