Mia and I just found your site! My Vet is wonderful but I needed a quick education and assurance after a terrible emergency with Hypoglycemia ( BG21!) at 3 AM last Sunday. After a week of care my Mia is finally somewhat back to normal. All this is very frightening but your site put me at ease ...right now giving insulin 2X per day at 9 units...down to 330's and still trying for a balance...mjm....now still trying after three hrs to get her pic downloaded..

Do you home test her?

Welcome! So sorry to hear your kitty had a hypoglycemia scare last week .. Glad to hear she is on the mend!

What kind of insulin do you use? There are a few kinds that people use here on the board, we used lantus ourselves with mocha ..

9 units 2 times a day seems like an awful lot of insulin (again, we used lantus ourselves) Do you mind sharing how you got to that doseage amount?

Wecome. I am also new here. Larryandkitties sent me www.shrink pictures.com so I could resize my photo and get it added. It is a really easy to use web site and free. Just remember that the pic has to be no larger than90x90.
